One With All
Author: Ernie Fitzpatrick
When one looks at the landscape of religious history you could draw the following conclusions:
>0-500 There was a battle to see what Christianity would be.
>500-1500 The Dark Ages (One Christian religion un the banner of Catholicism).
>1500-1800 Science and Philosophy get back in the game
>1800-2010 Christianity begins to be transformed!
And, what exactly is that transformation? The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi find, among other things, has shed new light on Christianity and its many claims. The primary reason that Christianity had the "run of the tables" for so long was because it posited the idea that it was NEW REVELATION and ONLY CHRISTIANITY could bring salvation to a person- because of a person (Jesus).
We now know that Eccl. 1;9 is indeed right.
There is nothing new under the sun!
The discovery of the Rosetta Stone shed new light on Egyptian legends and history and in so doing brought to light that fact that Christianity was a re-presentation of Egyptian religious thought and heritage. In fact, the life that we know and call Jesus was lived almost exactly by the Egyptian "only begotten son" known as Horus!
And the point it?
Christians need to take their place among all religions and be a apart of the whole and stop with the EXCLUSIVITY CLAIMS, end the mantra that "we're better than you", and quit putting down all other religions as being inferior to US (and US goes by thousands of names indeed). We are ALL children of God. We were ALL created in the image of God. So, regardless of the NAME that one puts on the Creator of ALL, there is but one God and He-She-It, is unconditionally loving to ALL.
